Donegal Waste & Recycle are an established, family run, business which has been in operation for over 35 years, traded from its facility near Glenties, Co Donegal. The company recently developed a new state of the art facility near Donegal Town to enhance its services going forward in South Donegal, North Leitrim and North Sligo areas. The firm became a ltd company in 2003 Shaun Molloy & Sons Ltd and continues to trade as Donegal Waste & Recycle.
The company is now the most environmentally aware and progressive company with regards to recycling in Donegal, and now provide a wide range of services to all of their customers. In 2005 the company handled over 7,000 tonnes of waste, with just over 3,000 tonnes being recycled.
The company is fully compliant with all current Waste Management Legislation and Regulations. They are holders of Waste Collection Permits (All Ireland National Waste Permit), to cover the functional area of Donegal County Council, and Mayo County Council, CW/079, to cover the functional area of Mayo County Council, i.e., all of the Connaught region, which includes Counties Sligo, Leitrim, Roscommon, Mayo and Galway. The company carries out 90% of its activities within the Donegal County Council functional area.
The company’s facility in Glenties, Co Donegal is permitted by Donegal County Council, permit number ENV/143/WP09, for the handling, storage, recovery, and transfer of waste. All returns to relevant authorities have been completed and returned within statutory periods.
The company is aware of its obligations in relation to Transfrontier Shipment of Waste Regulations, and already comply with these regulations when sending waste to a facility in Northern Ireland. The company is fully tax compliant and are holders of a current C2 certificate. The company has an up to date, Health & Safety Statement. The company have adequate Public/Employers Liability Insurance.
The company have procedures in place for the collection, handling, storage, transportation and delivery of waste. These procedures include Health & Safety and Record Keeping procedures, and notifications to all relevant authorities. The company are aware of the procedures for the handling and transportation of hazardous materials & all sludges.
